The Groteska Puppet, Mask and Actor Theater is searching for co-organizers for the multi- annual cooperation project on the working title “The Mask”
The project is being prepared for the application to Culture 2007-2013 EU Programme.

THE AIMS:
– unification of the European mask community: artists, researchers, theaters, museums, schools etc.
– preservation of the cultural heritage in the field of mask
– popularization of mask cultural phenomenon
– We would like analyze and interpret mask both in theater and ritual context.

They are searching for the European co-organizers: institutions creating masks, theaters that use mask theater as a form of expression, institutions collecting masks and researching into the masks.

They would like to create the platform of artistic and scientific cultural exchange within the mask field and propagate knowledge and interest about masks in culture at all.

They plan to implement our project program by different international, interdisciplinary activities: the Internet mask portal, various workshops (mask making and animating), exhibitions, lectures and discussions, masks theater productions and co-productions, masks festivals.

The planned date of the first working meeting of co-organizers: 30th August 2010 – Cracow (Poland).
