Theatre Sláva is an internationally acclaimed and locally engaged musical and physical post-etno-punk theatre situated in Huddinge outside Stockholm with ten productions on the repertoire and a big heart for pedagogical projects and community theatre.
Creating a platform within the project functioning beyond local interests and restrictions will give the small companies a chance to further develop and grow both artistically and personally and at the same time connect with other artists on a European level and establish better intercultural awareness between the participating countries. The first stage of this collaboration is the exchange of the existing performances, workshops and artist talks between three partners.
We are interested in establishing a long term relationship which would result in artistic co-productions and residences and in the gradual development of a network of independent theatres throughout other EU countries, which would support the exchange of independent performing arts projects on an international level. At the moment, there are two theaters involved in the project: Glej Theatre from Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Teater Sláva from Stockholm, Sweden.
