Festival ORIENTE OCCIDENTE was founded in 1981 and works actively to strengthen the role of contemporary dance in Italy. The Festival has always hosted  important artists and companies from all over the world. The programme also includes a section for local young talent, aimed at providing creative and productive support.
Producer of the festival – CID CENTRO INTERNAZIONALE DELLA DANZA (international dance centre) is a dynamic dance house, dedicated to the development of contemporary dance and creation. It has an all year program of stage, workshops and seminars for young dance students up to professionals and it is also a residency centre for individual artists or dance companies elaborating their own experimental and research projects. Supporting new creations and young companies its primary objective is to accompany and provide coaching, practical support and services to new or emerging choreographers.
They would like to join cooperation projects in the field of dance and choreography.
