Projekt: TO LOVE A CHILD or Korchak‘s TrainThe theatre school (at Kaunas State drama theatre) My Theatre started it‘s ninth year of existence. Here 150 children from 7 to 18 years old are educated by the means of the Theatre.

A new performance A Sad God by I.Paliulytė, dedicated to a famoust humanist, doctor, pedagogue – innovator Janush Korchak (Henric Holdsmith) personality and works will be staged in the year 2008, dedicated to a famoust humanist, doctor, pedagogue – innovator Janush Korchak (Henric Holdsmith) personality and works.

The aims of the project To Love a Child or Korchak‘s Train: to organise three creative teams from three EC countries as partners. All the partners stage a play by Inesa Paliulytė A Sad God, and if it‘s possible lithunian group do take part in the performance.

Children newspaper Letters to God should be released, where children problems, wishes, questions should be raised and discussed. The editors shoul be journalists as well as children. That can take place in schools, orphanages, etc. The newspaper can be publisher, either be a live newspaper – forum, where chilldren discuss here and now. Children expose their secret whishes in letters, which should be finalized as an almanach Children letters to God.

All the three countries organize photo exhibitions To Love a Child, aimed to show a sick, unhappy, harmed, unaprecciated child.

Together with railway companies or other transport companies in all the participating countries Korchak‘s train should be organized, that could reach the farthest corners of the countries, promoting Korchak‘s thoughts and ideas, sharing the experience of the newspaper creation process. The cooperation with orphanages in all the countries should take part, involving orphants as participiants: either in the creation of the newspaper, or the play, photo sessions, etc.
