Organizacija: The Municipality of Beja

The Municipality of Beja is a local authority from southern Portugal with a wide experience in the organisation of artistic and cultural events. Presently we are engaged in the development of the integrated project “Arts & Community” which focuses on contemporary arts development through the dimensions of creativity, innovation, technology and itinerancy and is aimed at the development of the local cultural industry, including from the entrepreneurial point of view.

Projekt “Arts & Community”

“Arts & Community” involves the creation of five workshops/ integrated training and experimentation projects, with a dimension of itinerancy, both within and outside the territory.

The project is to be developed in two stages: the first one is training and the second development/ circulation. There are three main working axis: 1. Training of local cultural agents ; 2. Contemporary arts – creation of project teams; 3. Creation – theatre, contemporary arts, tourism animation.

Several local and national partners from the creative and cultural sectors will be involved in the implementation.

They currently looking for international partners to engage in a Creative Europe project.
