Cultural centre “Parobrod” would like to be a partner in a project dealing with Jewish cultural heritage within European Cooperation projects (category 3).

The cultual center is a promoter of cultural policy of the central city municipality Stari grad and acts as a model that combines traditional and modern culture and art and is oriented toward all forms of artistic creativity (visual arts, literature, music, film, theater) and social engagement (forums, workshops …). Their mission is to create and cultivate aesthetic and ethical values, development of modern critical, intellectual and creative thoughts and ideas. In addition to full-time employees in our human resources are also the numerous organizations, initiatives, informal art groups, experts, established artists and young artists on the rise.

Projekt

They would like to cooperate with organizations, which research and interpret Jewish cultural heritage. “Parobrod” is located in a very centre of the city, where it used to live many Jewish families in the past. So far, the Jewish cultural heritage that is reflected in buildings, personal histories and a significant contribution to the improvement of the social development of this city, was not the subject of cultural projects sufficiently.
