“Marmita” puppet theatre company is part of a Social Cooperative Enterprise (SCE),”Vertiskos-Mazemata”, which operates in various environmental and educational fields.
Our shows are created using a wide range of artistic and theatrical methods always based on puppetry, such as object theatre, shadow puppet theatre, and documental theatre amongst others.

Since its creation in 2015, Marmita has been performing its shows throughout the country at schools, festivals, refugee camps and public spaces raising awareness and increasing sensitivity on extremely important issues such as global water crisis.
Our passion to create a complete project in which we could artistically express and share our beliefs and ideas on environmental education, has lead us to this partner search, always believing in the power of sharing and cooperating.

Projekt

We seek for partners to embrace and work on our project on global water crisis. Through puppet theatre, shadow puppet theatre and hopefully an illustrated book with all the real “water stories” we have gathered during our survey , we hope to make it possible for this project to travel abroad and spread its message along the other countries of the Balkan region and not only. We strongly believe that raising awareness and bringing people together to share ideas and solutions to major common issues such as water crisis, is more than necessary.

We are looking for anyone who is willing to cooperate on the following fields: acting, translation, craftwork, construction of theatrical scenery, music composition, visual arts, photography, illustration; anything that could be related to a performance about water, crisis, the cause of it and possible solutions.
