The aim of the “Euskal Herriko Ahotsak” programme (Voices from the Basque Country) – project – is to compile and disseminate Basque oral and dialect cultural heritage. It thereby claims to fight the eminent collapse of oral transmission witnessed over the last few generations and create a public archive for 20th century Basque oral heritage.
Euskal Herriko Ahotsak is looking for:
– European projects that work in the field of compiling oral heritage, both in terms of linguistics and history-ethnographics.
– Experience, methodology and information exchanges.
– Programmes that work on concepts such as memory and oral transmission in schools.
– Projects that are working on the value of multilingualism.
