Projekt: United States of Europe

Innovation culture Europe -ICE is an association created in the autumn 2007. ICE wants to improve knowledge between European countries and cultures and to bring forth values such as awareness, engagement and openness through art and cultural projects.
ICE initiates and produces transcultural European art projects but also collaborates with other actors in the cultural sector that share the same goals and values.

ICE is looking for cultural associations, cultural centers, galleries that can contribute with project management in their country.

Project: United States of Europe
This is a European project about diversity and identity, about unity in diversity. A project conceived by Europeans for Europeans. The exhibition United States of Europe consists of two parts: 1. A sociological study implemented by sociologists and journalists. 2. Video- and installation artists, with experience on the subject of identity, give interpretations on the subject European identity.

Objectives are
•    To offer an exhibition that is presented in public places with the aim of reaching as many Europeans as possible.
•    Create cultural exchanges, mobility and contacts between the participating countries.
•    To strengthen the comprehension and knowledge between European countries.
•    To increase awareness around the European identity and to engage people in a European citizenship.
•    To present a varied study on people’s ideas about Europe and be able to measure the diversity and the “Europeanism” in each participating country.

More about the project in the appendix.
