Projekt: The Tower of Babel – language and culture as a means of international dialogueThe scope of the project will cover artistic, cultural and linguistic actions.
The socio-cultural project aims at the exchange of experience, the search for a common ground for agreement among different cultures and the integration of local communities with people coming from different countries. The education of the participants and the audience of the project in the field of tolerance, dialogue and respect for otherness as well as linguistic education will constitute a crucial part of the activities.
Aims of the project:
organizing cultural events popularising the culture of a participating country,
organizing a large multimedia performance with the participation of international groups of young people,
promoting foreign language education – with respect to languages other than English,
bringing peoples’ attention to the problems of immigrants and the problem of their social exclusion,
activating local communities,
international cultural exchange,
international collaboration between students/pupils and schools,
promoting intercultural dialogue,
propagating intercultural exchange,
popularising respect for otherness (for other races, ethnic groups, cultures and customs).
