Marubi National Museum of Photography is seeking to be a partner in small-scale cooperation project and/or project related to the EYCH 2018 (esp. from Italy and France). They would like to cooperate with partners that are specialised in the management of photography museums and have same interests as Marubi Museum in using the patrimony to promote the countries.

Organization: Marubi National Museum of Photography

Marubi National Museum of Photography is located in Shkoder Albania. It engages in accordance with the main objectives and policies of the Ministry of Culture, to design, schedule and develop national policies for the protection, conservation, restoration, exhibition, research and promotion of cultural heritage photography. Marubi’s Museum Mission is to alter into something open to all strata of the society, in order to improve the life of the city, thus becoming a reference point of the Albanian culture.
The profile of the collection consists on Marubi archive dynasty and other Albanian photographers. The first photos of this collection correspond to the first pictures taken in the studio founded by Pietro Marubbi. The photographic collections extends from 1856 until 1989.

Project

Marubi National Museum of Photography Design aim is to schedule and develop national policies for the protection, conservation, restoration, exhibition, research and promotion of cultural heritage of the photography.
Within the project, their aims are to provide:
*the equipment needed to manage the digital archive and the virtual museum;
*the human resources trained to start up and to continue the activity of digitalization and cataloguing, utilizing international standards, the first group of images;
*the tutorship to manage the digital archive and the virtual museum with the advice for the management of the future museum.
