24th International Festival of Contemporary Arts - City of Women is dedicated to all without fear, to all fighters for freedom, forgotten and acclaimed, and to all courageous, well-known and yet to be known. Highlight of international happening will be held from 4th to 8th October 2018.
Motovila Institute is organizing the study tour for a group of cultural managers, artists and curators from Ukraine, aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation among cultural operators from Slovenia and Ukraine.
This project relates to the aims of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (EYCH) and seeks to engage groups, who are hard to reach. The deadline for submitting offers: 10 Sept. 2018.
On July 1st 2018, Austria took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and will have this role until the end of December 2018. The main tasks of the Council Presidency include planning and chairing meetings in the Council and its preparatory bodies and representing the Council in relations with the other EU institutions.

Within a special contest, the prize-winners were invited to submit an original short work of fiction. In total 36 authors have entered the contest, including two Slovenians, Gabriela Babnik and Jasmin B. Frelih. The European Heritage Summit will be held in Berlin, Germany on June 18-24 2018. This event is supported by the European Union's Creative Europe programme and is part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
The international partnership is undoubtedly the main benefit, which resulted from the project supported by the Creative Europe programme: the five participating museums from Austria, Poland, Italy, Croatia and Estonia were able to find similarities, share knowledge and exchange experiences. European Commission welcomes all citizens and stakeholders interested in culture and history of Europe to respond to this consultation, esp. those who have visited any of the cultural heritage sites bearing the European Heritage Label or have been engaged with it either as a partner or a staff member. Kaunas introduces EU’s most successful community project – the capital of culture 2022.
