Since 2015, Motovila has established excellent contact and collaboration with the Eastern Partnership of the EU (EaP) in the field of cultural and creative sectors. In 2018, we continue to strengthen cross-border cooperation between Slovenia and the countries of the EaP. Between 15 and 19 October, we host a group of Ukrainian cultural operators (see profiles) at the study tour, entitled Beyond Horizons: focus Ukraine.
The programme of the study tour encompasses individual and group meetings with local CCSs representatives, seminars, trainings, one field trip to visit local cultural scene and a plenty of opportunities for networking and exchanging experiences as well a chance to attend and experience local cultural/artistic events.

European Capital of Culture is undoubtedly among the best-known measures supported by the EU Creative Europe programme. Slovenia will be hosting the title again in 2025, and the selection procedure is set to begin in 2019. The REPORT on how we connected the cultural and creative sectors beyond horizons in 2017.
During five-day study study visit to Slovenia, 23 representatives of the cultural sector from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine got to know more than 60 Slovenian organisations and visited 21 cultural spaces or venues. In addition to the capital city, the guests were also introduced to the cultural scenes in the eastern (Maribor) and western (Vipava, Nova Gorica, Šempas and Osek) parts of Slovenia.
