European Heritage sites are milestones in the creation of today’s Europe. Spanning from the dawn of civilization to the Europe we see today, these sites celebrate and symbolise European ideals, values, history and integration. Since 2013, these sites have been carefully selected for their symbolic value, the role they have played in the European history and activities they offer that bring the European Union and its citizens closer together. So far, 38 sites have been designated to the list, including two from Slovenia – Franja Hospital and Javorca Church.
Consultation »The European Heritage Label action«
The aim of the public consultation is to gather the views of all interested citizens and organisations on the role that cultural heritage can play in bringing European citizens closer to the EU, specifically through the European Heritage Label action. A second aim is to receive additional information about the operation and results of the action during the first six years since its creation (2011-2017), which could not be gathered through desk research.
Take action!
You can contribute to this public consultation by filling in the online questionnaire. The questionnaire is accessible in English, German and French. You may pause at any time and continue later. Deadline: 24 May 2018.
