Art and Creativity can build better communities and reinvent themselves for better society.
SHARE project is a 2,5-years long-project (2020-2023), focused on education and creation in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. SHARE project wants to construct a durable / sustainable artistic system in which international networking, and community building will follow a training program between European, Middle East and Africans for long term collaborations. We are connecting local, regional and international partners and artists.
In January 2022, SHARE begins its first artistic, creative and social laboratory in Burkina Faso, in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso, in the framework of the International dance festival In and out.
The programme of the Lab starts with a special project exploring an inspiring link between arts and football (My story). A unique project Why not? – a performing arts workshop with the prisoners, is another example of strong interconnections between arts and communities. As SHARE is dedicated to capacity building in arts and culture, there are two workshops based on the exchange of knowledge between African and European technicians and producers. Also, two professional meetings will be organized: one dedicated to collaboration in West Africa and the other to development through cultural policy.
The Lab is an initial action that will take place in Bobo-Dioulasso. During the next two years, the project SHARE will help to build a cultural residential centre in the rural area of Bobo and will bring international artists for a research project Observatory and a workshop dedicated to the authentic local womens’ creativity called Many Colors.
