Open Call for three new plays under the theatre project Shadow Pandemic: Hidden Voices. Application deadline: 18 January 2023.
Project Shadow Pandemic: Hidden Voices wants to address out the problem of violence against women during the lockdown in the pandemic through a play, a performance and through the workshops with young people on the topic of violence that will be process through the theatre. As theatres have always been bridges of trust and cooperation among people this project proposal aims to raise an awareness, through the affirmation of female artists, among the population and young people, of the specific problems of violence against women in times of isolation during a pandemic.
The project is divided into three segments (work packages) whose results are intertwined and upgraded through the duration of project activities. Each of the segments responds to its specific goals whose main purpose is to raise awareness about violence against women and to promote and circulate the artistic works between project partners countries and Creative Europe programme countries.
The main goal of this project is to raise an awareness, through the affirmation of women artists, among the population and young people, of the specific problems of violence against women in times of isolation during a pandemic.
The results of the projects are: 3 plays about the topic of violence against women in times of isolation during pandemic written by female playwrights on Croatian, Slovenian or Serbian language, raised awareness among general audience and young people about the violence against women, announced and conducted Open call for 3 plays, 30 included artists in the project, 60 engaged and empowered young people about the topic of violence against women through the rehearsal process and staging the play, 1 produced performance that will be produced 11 times in partners countries and Poland and Check Republic, 3 published plays in a form of e-book translated on English.
