i-Portunus second call for mobility published

/
Goethe-Institut announced the second call for mobility pilot project i-Portunus. This is an opportunity for individual artists and culture professionals active in the fields of Performing Arts and Visual Arts. The call is open to group applications and segmented mobilities. Deadline: 24 June 2019.

For the first time ever, the European Commission is planning a mobility scheme that will help individual artists and culture professionals take advantage of short-term (15–85 days) and flexible cross-border opportunities: to move between European countries, develop audiences and collaborations, find new inspiration, and fully benefit from – and contribute to – Europe’s diverse cultural ecosystems. The results of this pilot project will be key in shaping a new action in the Creative Europe programme, 2021–2027.

Between April and September 2019, the Goethe-Institut* will issue three calls (first call closed in May) to fund the mobility of individual artists and culture professionals of all ages, nationalities, educational qualifications and levels of experience from countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. In order to achieve a critical mass, this pilot project will focus on two sectors: the Performing Arts and the Visual Arts.

Second call open

The focus for the second i-Portunus call remains on two sectors: the Performing Arts (except music) and the Visual Arts, but it expands the scope and is open to group applications (up to 5 people) and segmented mobilities. A segmented mobility means that you will travel several times, to one or several destinations. Each trip must last a minimum of 5 days, and the total number of days still has to be between 15 and 85.

Second Call for Applications: 3 June 2019
Submission deadline: 24 June 2019 (2pm Brussels time)
Notification of Results: 16 July 2019
Earliest departure date: 25 July 2019
Latest return date: 31 December 2019
