Organisation

We are the Office of the Spanish Ministry for Education, Culture and Sports in charge of cooperation within public libraries. As part of our competencies, we engage in cooperative projects that’d benefit the Spanish Public Libraries and we would like to do so at a European level.

Our office works in several relevant projects at a national level, such as Hispana (the portal to access the digitized cultural heritage which is a national aggregator to Europeana) and e-Biblio, a platform for e-lending in the Spanish Public Libraries and the elaboration of library statistics.

We also actively participate in international organisations such as IFLA, NAPLE and EBLIDA.

We would like to participate as a partner organization in any project that deals with innovation in public libraries and other cultural institutions.
