Project: Homage to Fryderyk Chopin. (Celebrations marking the Chopin anniversaries 2009-2010)The project’s objective is a joint organisation of celebrations marking the anniversaries of Chopin’s birth and death in the united Europe.

The main intention is to show, and consequently to promote, the music by a range of European composers, which had a direct impact on Chopin’s work, and the diversity of places in Europe which the composer visited or where he lived.
A three-year series of exhibitions and concerts will show, and be a record of, Chopin’s epoch. The exhibitions and music will recreate the atmosphere of that period and these places.
The exhibitions and the concerts will present the character of Chopin’s music, which crosses national borders. Also presented will be interpreters of his music. Preserved memorabilia and everything Chopin has left behind him will show the places on the map of 19th century Europe connected with the composer.
Planned activities are a cycle of exhibitions, series of concerts, developing the project website, multimedia presentations through the Internet (Internet concerts, exhibitions, lectures and debates, master classes on the Internet), broadcasts, interactive performances, TV broadcasts of exhibitions and concerts, archiving the Internet and TV broadcasts, sound recordings of concerts.
Project to be implemented: 2008 – 2010.
