Projekt: OLD FORTRESS SYSTEMThe project Old Fortress System accomplishes a permanent network of partnership in the Communitarian area and in particular in the Area of Proximity in order to preserve, to enhance and to return to the dismissed military areas a new utilization for civil purposes with economic, social and didactical goals.

The architectonic heritage is often located in proper interlinked systems, with strong urban connotations and also from the environmental point of view, consistent territorial areas, not only in an urban scale, but also in a regional, extra-regional and trans-national scale.
The importance of the dismissed military architecture in the Communitarian Europe of the Medocc area and in particular in the area of Proximity (Cadses area), is due to the potential availability, nowadays for the first time, of a relevant historic, and architectonic heritage preserved thanks really to the military use and featured by types and chronological periods of building that substantially ranger from the sixteenth century up to the first years of the twentieth century.
