Project: "displacement"LineCulture from Greece is looking for partners to join a project under working title “displacement”. The interdisciplinary project concerns various artistic expressions (visual arts, theatre, dance, music) which will be “displaced” from the common paths in terms of production, interpretation, audience perception. The project proposal will be submitted within Culture sub-programme call for proposals with a deadline on 1st of October 2014.

“displacement” project is about
– “displacement” of people towards new places
– “displacement” of artists towards experimentation
– “displacement” of ideas towards re-interpretation
– “displacement” of audiences towards ground-breaking experiences
– “displacement” of performances towards innovative spaces

The notion of “displacement” includes the involvement of artistic expression such as visual arts, theatre, dance, music into new paths of inter-thematic collaboration.
The project concerns various artistic expressions (visual arts, theatre, dance, music) which will be “displaced” from the common paths in terms of production, interpretation, audience perception.
The idea of the project stems from the incessant and fast-track, sometimes creative and innovative, other times relentless and unavoidable, changes that have occurred in Europe since the beginning of the 21st century.

LineCulture is a non-profit organization based in Athens, Greece. Since 2009, it is housed in the Center for the Arts, Beton7 in the area of Votanikos which provides a gallery, a space for theatrical and music performances, for seminars, for experimental activities and an art-cafe.
