KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd is a place in Linz/Austria that enables contemporary art and culture production in the fields of intersection between art and the psycho-social. And it is an offer from the association pro mente Upper Austria, a visionary organisation which works directly with artists and their artistic practice to support new approaches for reaching advanced visibility for psycho-social challenges.

KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd is a »track-reader« for social developments and trends. With art and communication projects they reach new target groups, raise discussions and create experiences and »an open society«. We place special value on reaching and integrating people from highly diverse backgrounds. Methods that have successfully been employed towards this objective so far – such as open calls, workshops, exhibitions and special experiences in public space. We try to connect playful and parcipitatory offers for broad audiences and a continuous regional and international contemporary art production.

KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd provides a multitude of art and cultural offers that stand for an expanded concept of culture. The relationship and dealings of people with each other and their city encourage a unique profile.

They work for the vision – city of respect, which gives the inhabitants the possibility to create their own lives. City of respect offers perspectives for residents to give them the opportunity to look beyond their daily struggle for existence. With cultural empowerment, the individual is enabled to deal with the issues of relevance to their own lives. The retroactivity of the process to itself and the community is an educational process and therefore the cultural space is needed.

They are looking for partners, likeminded organisations and institutions to establish an international exchange to create an interface between art and social issues, bring together organisation/groups concerned with approaching to mental health through artistic methods.

They would like to offer their experience and are interested in cooperations to develop an application for EU Programmes. They would also be interested to take part in an already existing project proposals.
