ALFATEATRO that has been hosting for the past 20 years an important annual small opera in Turin, has decided to propose in the capital of Piemonte, a model of an Academy to prepare a theatrical machine (actors, singers, dancers, musicians, set technicians, directors, etc.) in a correct and highly professional manner for the preparation required for this refined and not easy kind of show.
The plan is to set up an International academy that aims to spread deeper knowledge of various ways in which each country has created operetta.
The creation of the Academy has the principal purpose of integrating, through courses directed to the training of artists of operetta. The established Academy aims to achieve not only the teaching of the various genres that make up operetta (singing, acting, music, costumes, set design, direction, employees of stage and production), but also to give work to all those who enrol in the courses with the possibility of being part of the Compagnia stabile di operetta Alfa Folies, located at the ALFATEATRO of Turin.
