What?
Tomas Ramanauskas and Kristupas Sabolius are the leading Lithuanian theorists and practitioners of creativity in international communication, making movies and researching. The workshop is designed specifically for cultural organisations to improve project-creating skills. The key focus of the workshop is not only to master the mechanics around the idea and concept, but also provoke a different, unexpected attitude towards cultural & creative projects.
This workshop is not designed to teach the audience how to write projects, it’s key focus is on creative approach towards creating the idea and the concept of the project. The key pillars of the workshop:
– best examples of creative solutions that led to successful implementation of various projects;
– theoretical part on how to provoke and maintain creative mind;
– practical exercises – participants are asked to go through various project writing stages applying techniques analysed during the workshop.
For whom?
IDEA LAB is for representatives of organizations from cultural, audiovisual and creative sectors who want to improve the creative process and skills of designing project ideas. The event will be held in English without interpretation.
Who?
TOMAS RAMANAUSKAS works in advertising as a creative director for more than a decade. Now he runs his own creative agency, called “New!”, with a team of 40 people, and a list of international clients. Also, he worked as Chief Creative Officer of MTV Baltic, published local youth magazine, opened an independent cinema theatre and right now is working on two debut movies. And much more – see bio.
KRISTUPAS SABOLIUS is active public intellectual, a writer and an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Vilnius University. He published a novel, a few books on the topic of imagination, and co-wrote a script for The Gambler, one of the most successful Lithuanian films, selected by numerous film festivals all over the world. He is now working on a new film to be produced by internationally acknowledged producers as well as collaborating with contemporary artists and directors worldwide. And much more – see bio.

Registration
The number of places in the workshop is limited! Online registration (see below) is open until September 20, 2017 (12.00 CET). The workshop fee is 80 EUR (includes organization, material, catering and attendance certificate) and must be paid before the start of the workshop and no later than Friday, September 22, 2017, with a payment through Motovila account.
