European Parliament election campaign: Culture in the EU

The election campaign for the European Parliament provides a great opportunity for MEPs candidates to express their opinion about current and future challenges for the culture and the creative sectors in the EU.

During the event in Ljubljana on May 7, 2019, the Slovene candidates will be confronted with topics such as funding for culture, mobility opportunities, cross-sectoral cooperation and freedom of artistic expression. The event is organized by the Asociacija and Motovila Institute in cooperation with the Radio Študent (RŠ) and will be live streamed on RŠ (89,3 MHz).

Motovila has joined the Culture Action Europe (CAE) “No Europe without culture” campaign by which CAE calls on political parties to recognise culture’s contribution to Europe as a necessary source of unity and a force for cooperation and mutual understanding. EU citizens are called to the ballot boxes to take part in European Parliamentary elections 23-26 May 2019.
