Project: Montefeltro FestivalThe organisers are developing a project aiming at bringing together various music institutes to help students improve their diction, which is the key to good vocalism and, through a better understanding of the poetic text, can make opera appeal to a wider and younger public.
The Montefeltro Festival will happen in three stages:
A competition for the production of a new opera with an Italian libretto chosen by the individual candidates, addressing composers studying in European Artistic and Music University Institutions or coming from a different background.
A workshop for young conductors covering a repertoire of traditional opera airs, held by well-established conductors.
The production and staging of the finalist works and of a selected repertoire.
