The purpose of the project is to establish a European network between cultural institutions particularly related to the game of chess, in order to enhance and promote, especially among young people and citizens (besides experts, connoisseurs, professional players, …) the history and tradition, the meaning and the role that chess played and still play in modern society, through its presence in European tangible (cities, collections of works of art, books, …) and intangible (history and tradition, music and performing arts, etc.) cultural heritage, and in the European culture as a whole.
